The thing about Skinheads

is that they are totally misinterpreted.
Skinheads started as a youth sub-culture that originated from the London Mods in the late 60's. Like the Mods, the Skinheads put a lot of affort in they're appearance. Because of being mainly from the working class they did not buy the newest, most expensive clothes, but opted for a cleaner simpler look.
In order to distinguish themselves from the Mods not only by appearance they grew more and more interested with Jamaican music like reggae and ska.
Skinheads started as a trend, as a movement. They were not a group based on ideas of racism or violence. They were rough, but not as evil as modern society perceives them.
